Meet the Team – Suzanne Mulvihill

How would you describe your job to someone who knew nothing about the interim search industry?

I am the Executive Assistant for our three Interim Partners and support them on a daily basis. As such, my role is very varied. I manage their diaries, booking appointments for Clients and Candidates, arranging travel and accommodation as required. I prepare and send out contracts and act as the main point of contract for all our Interim Contractors. I also deal with general enquiries, as well as many other daily, monthly and ad-hoc tasks!

Who is the most influential person you’ve ever met? (And why).

My mum… she has had a lot to put up with and never complains, she is the most loving, caring and giving person I know.

What’s the one thing that gets you out of bed in the morning?

Work – because I really enjoy what I do! I was a stay-at-home mum for more than 8 years and as much as I love my children, returning to the workforce has given me a new zest for life…. My life.  As a mother, it’s so easy to live through your children. As they get older, it becomes more important to have a life of your own.

What’s the best thing about working at Watermark?

I really like my colleagues, but for me, the best thing about working at Watermark is the flexibility that I’ve been given. I work flexible hours around my children, because they do still need me a lot of the time! More businesses should embrace the working mum and allow them the flexibility that is needed.

If you never had to work again, how would you spend your time?

Travelling…. I’d love to see more of the world and it would be great to not have to worry about the bills and the cost of everything!
