OrotonGroup Limited – Chief Financial Officer

OrotonGroup is an iconic Sydney headquartered, publicly-listed retail company. The group was founded by the Lane family in 1938.

Gregory Dohnt, Watermark’s Financial Officer Practice Lead Partner, has appointed two Chief Financial Officers to OrotonGroup over the last nine years.  The first was on behalf of the previous Chief Executive Officer in 2006.  She engaged Gregory to recruit a new Chief Financial Officer.  The result was the appointment of a key finance executive from publicly-listed fashion retailer, Specialty Fashion Group Limited.

The CFO subsequently worked very successfully with Oroton for the next eight years.  When he announced his intention to resign from Oroton in 2014 the Board and new Chief Executive Officer asked Gregory to appoint the next Chief Financial Officer.  After conducting an international Executive Search, it was announced to the Australian Securities Exchange in early 2015 that the current CFO of Louis Vuitton China would be joining the Group later in the year.
