How would you describe your job to someone who knew nothing about the Executive Interim industry?
Helping businesses solve problems by borrowing the services of the executive ‘gig economy’. I think of it as a disruptor to the large management consulting houses.
What inspired you to work in the industry?
The growth and opportunity to be market leading. The ability to have a larger impact in enabling businesses to thrive. And connecting Interim Executive expertise to businesses that need it makes me feel I can do a small part in moving the economy forward.
Who is the most influential person you’ve ever met? (And why).
More recently, Jack Delosa – entrepreneur, disruptor and all-round guru on living on purpose. His influence enabling businesses and their owners to be better, bolder and successful is contagious.
What’s the one thing that gets you out of bed in the morning?
A coffee and the lure of a quiet 10 mins before sunrise and the household waking!
What’s your biggest career achievement to date?
Many highs; a 3-year secondment to Toronto working with Deloitte, receiving a performance excellence award at NAB, and changing careers from finance/advisory to Human Resources…..and now a new career in interim management!
What’s the best thing about working at Watermark?
The team and joining a great brand, and the opportunity to be part of the growth journey of the interim management practice in Melbourne.
If you never had to work again, how would you spend your time?
Travelling Italy (Croatia, Spain…) doing a foodie road trip. I’d love to be Maeve O’Meara doing my own Food Safari.
