An exciting senior leadership opportunity within one of Australia’s most notable and loved retailers, the Group CFO will play a pivotal role in driving positive change to the way this dynamic organisation operates, leading on strategic projects that deliver on commercial, cost and productivity benefits that will assureits continued positionat the forefront ofthe industry.
The Group CFO will be relied upon to providepragmatic and insightful commercial and strategic short- and long-term business and financial recommendations, manage financial forecasting, budgets, and financial reporting requirements to ensure financial sustainability and the adoption of efficient commercial practices that align with the organisation’sstrategic plans, values and purpose.
As a leader, and a forward-thinking strategist, you will approach challenging situations with optimism and curiosity. You areauthentic and energetic,with a diverse and contemporary financeskill set and a proven track-record managing complex multi-disciplinary finance functions, ideally within a large scale, and seasonally drivenretail setting or in an adjacent sector such as QSR/Franchise, FMCG or Hospitality. Relevant qualifications as either a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Practicing Accountant (CPA) as well as strong business and commercial acumen and an ability to think outside the boxare essential to minimising internal risk, building capability andcapitalising on growth opportunities, now and into the future.
Operating as a trusted internal advisor, it is imperative you possess high integrity and proven interpersonal skills, as your approach to establishing and strengthening relationships as well as your ability to influence change will prove key to your success in the role. You are comfortable working proactively in a fast-paced environment and acting on multi-dimensional and complex issues. You are decisive yet diplomatic, with a unique ability tobuild consensus and deliver exceptional customer service whilst fostering a sense of shared purpose among your team and stakeholders.
You will enjoy providing high-quality, objective and independent financial advice, making value-added recommendations and continuously improving internal finance methodologies to incorporate best practice techniques and technology to close control gaps and enhance thefunction.
