Chief Technology Officer
Join Our Client’s Canberra Team as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for one of Australia’s largest Centralised Processing (CP) Program!
Our client is seeking a dynamic Chief Technology Officer to join their Centralised Processing Program Division servicing the Defence Digital Modernisation (DDM) initiative. This is a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the future of Australia’s Defence IT strategy and make a significant impact on national security.
About the Role:
As the CTO, you will provide holistic architectural leadership and management, ensuring alignment with the Defence IT strategy. Your role will involve improving CP delivery outcomes through technical advice and clear direction in design and delivery matters. You will work closely with the DDM Head of Strategy Realisation to support account growth and the Defence's long-term goal of moving workloads to the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Defence Director of IT Services.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Centralised Processing customer points of contact, Chief Architect, Chief Engineer, and functional leaders across the program.
Engage with vendors and partners, including senior stakeholders in a global context.
Drive commercial and strategic technical outcomes, delivering and transforming programs and operations.
Critical Experiences and Attributes:
Proven results in driving commercial and strategic technical outcomes.
Experience in delivery and transformation of programs/operations.
Excellent listening, advocacy, and collaboration skills.

Mandatory Requirements:
Degree in a related technical discipline.
Australian Government Security Clearance.
Location: Canberra – not suitable for FIFO nor WFH.
Must have current NV1 security clearance.
Desirable:
Training or accreditations in Thought Leadership highly valued.
Membership to relevant industry bodies highly valued.
